The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back in action when it plays host to Bucknell on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Bison will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross stands 8-19 overall this year with a 5-9 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders are coming off a 59-53 setback against Army on Saturday. Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team by averaging 14.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has posted 10.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game, while senior guard
Bo Montgomery has added 9.7 points, 4.2 boards and 2.7 assists per contest, and sophomore guard
Will Batchelder has put up 8.2 points and 1.4 assists per game.
Bucknell enters the game with an overall mark of 10-17 and a 7-7 record in the Patriot League. The Bison have dropped three straight games and are coming off a 62-50 loss at Colgate on Saturday. Senior guard Jack Forrest leads the team by averaging 16.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest, while hitting 80.0 percent of his foul shots. Sophomore center Noah Williamson is also having a solid year, with averages of 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
After the game with Bucknell, Holy Cross will travel to Navy for a 2 p.m. game on Sunday, Feb. 25.
