WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's hockey team hosted No. 10 UConn for game two of the series on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies took a 2-0 win over the Crusaders.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:

• Holy Cross: Abby Hornung (L, 1-2), 30 saves
• UConn: Megan Warrener (W, 2-3), 15 saves

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the first period, the Huskies got on the board early with a goal by Kyla Josifovic at 3:50 for the 1-0 lead.
• In the second period, UConn extended their lead with a power-play goal scored by Claire Murdoch at 13:35.
• Neither team scored in the third period. The Huskies came out with the 2-0 win over the Crusaders.
• UConn led Holy Cross 32-15 in shots on goal and 36-18 in face-offs to conclude the game. 

UP NEXT: 

• The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1:00 pm. when they head to Vermont for a single-game set at the Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vt.
