Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s soccer bested by BU

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team hosted Boston University (BU) for their Turnpike Trophy and Pride game. The Terriers took the 3-0 win over the Crusaders to earn a point in the race for the Turnpike Trophy.

IN GOAL:

  • Holy Cross: Julia Walsh (L, 5-7-1), 4 saves
  • BU: Bridget Carr (W, 3-1-4), 7 saves

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • In the first half, BU scored early with a goal by Margy Porta at 3:45.
  • The Crusader led the Terriers 6-4 in shots and 4-2 in corners through 45 minutes.
  • In the second half, the Terriers extended their lead with a goal at 49:27 by Mackenzie Stickelman and another at 77:49 by Kat Slott for the 3-0 victory over the Crusaders.
  • BU led Holy Cross 12-11 in shots and both teams had six corners a piece to finish the game.
