The Holy Cross men's basketball team will play host to Boston University on Monday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Terriers will be shown live to a national audience on the CBS Sports Network, and is the second half of a
White Out doubleheader that begins when the Holy Cross and Boston University women play at 4 p.m.
Holy Cross stands 5-16 overall this year with a 2-6 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders are coming off a narrow 78-72 loss to Lehigh on Saturday. Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team by averaging 15.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has posted 11.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, while senior guard
Bo Montgomery has added 8.8 points, 3.9 boards and 2.8 assists per contest, and sophomore guard
Will Batchelder has put up 8.9 points and 1.6 assists per game.
Boston University has an overall mark of 8-13 on the season, including a 3-5 record in the Patriot League. In their last game, the Terriers defeated Lafayette 62-48 on Saturday. Senior guard Miles Brewster leads the team with averages of 9.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Sophomore forward Otto Landrum is also enjoying a solid year, averaging 8.6 points and 6.2 boards per contest.
After the contest with Boston University, Holy Cross will travel to Loyola (Md.) for a 5 p.m. game on Saturday, Feb. 3.
