ROCKVILLE, Md. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team made their way to Maryland to face off with American on Sunday afternoon. After a hard fought battle on both sides of the field, neither team scored and the match resulted in a 0-0 tie.
Junior goalkeeper Julia Walsh recorded her third consecutive shutout in goal for the Crusaders. The Holy Cross backline blocked one shot in the game to keep the Eagles off the scoreboard.
"Under the circumstances, with the field change, the weather and the flight changes, I'm proud of the girls' resilience in coming away with a point," said head coach Ben Graham. "But, we do need to concentrate on playing strong for the whole of 90 minutes, not just in spells. We have a week of training to work on it and look forward to welcoming Bucknell to Smith next Saturday."
