WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team fell to Bucknell University, 18-12, in Patriot League action Saturday afternoon at Kuzniewski Field.
Dean DiNanno led the way for the Crusaders (0-12, 0-7 PL) with five points on five assists.
Thomas McIntire recorded his seventh hat trick of the season.
The Crusaders came back from a 11-5 deficit to bring the game to 11-10 at the end of the third quarter off goals by
Brendan Lane,
Matt Major, McIntire,
Jayce Lambert, and
T.J. Lynch. DiNanno recorded two of his assists during the run, while Lynch recorded one.
Major, Lynch,
Cameron Magalotti, and
William Stahl each finished the night with two points apiece.
Baker Reding and
Henry Sheehan each recorded a goal in the contest as well.
McIntire recorded two caused turnovers while
Baker Reding,
Hayes Reding,
Tyler Strub, and
Julian Jenkins each recorded one.
Jordan Naso tallied a team-high four ground balls. Junior goalkeeper
Dawson Friers recorded a career-high 24 saves on the afternoon, and recorded his first collegiate point, an assist, on the afternoon.
Bucknell (3-8, 2-4 PL) was led by Jack Feda who recorded six points on six goals. Dutch Furlong followed with five points in a game that saw 12 different Bison record points. Netminder Jaz Zanelli tallied 13 saves in the win.
Holy Cross will take the field for their final regular season home matchup on Tuesday, April 18 when they face out-of-conference opponent University of Massachusetts at Loweel at Kuzniewski Field. Game time is set for 7 p.m., and will stream live on ESPN+.
