After taking a week off for finals, the Holy Cross men's basketball team will return to action when it plays host to Quinnipiac on Monday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Bobcats will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross stands 2-8 so far this year, including a 68-67 victory at Georgetown on Nov. 11 and a 74-61 win over IUPUI on Nov. 19. Senior guard
Joe Octave leads the team with averages of 14.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, while hitting 47.8 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior forward
Caleb Kenney has posted 9.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game, with sophomore guard
Will Batchelder putting up 7.7 points, and 1.6 assists per contest and freshman forward
Joe Nugent adding 7.3 points and 5.0 boards per game.
Quinnipiac has an overall record of 7-3 this season, with a 1-1 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Eagles are coming off an 73-66 setback against Yale on Dec. 11. Senior guard Matt Balanc has led the team by averaging 17.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest, while sophomore forward Amarri Tice has added 10.4 points and 5.5 boards per game.
After the contest with Quinnipiac, Holy Cross will travel to Harvard for a 2 p.m. game on Thursday, Dec. 21.
