The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 11, when it travels to Georgetown for an 8 p.m. game. The contest between the Crusaders and the Hoyas will be shown live to a national audience on Fox Sports 2.
Holy Cross stands 0-1 so far this year, after falling at Siena 73-71 in its season opener. Senior guard
Bo Montgomery led the team with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals against the Saints. Freshman forward
Joe Nugent added 12 points and three rebounds, while freshman guard
DeAndre Williams came off the bench to post 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.Â
The Crusaders are entering their first year under new head coach
Dave Paulsen, and are coming off a 2022-2023 campaign in which they went 10-22 overall and 7-11 in the Patriot League.Â
Georgetown stands 1-0 so far this season, after defeating Le Moyne 94-57 on Tuesday. Senior forward Supreme Cook led the Hoyas with 19 points and 13 rebounds against the Dolphins, while senior guard Jay Heath and junior guard Dontrez Styles added 15 points each. Last year, Georgetown went 7-25 overall and 2-18 in the Big East.
After the game with the Hoyas, Holy Cross play its home opener against Sacred Heart on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m.
