Freshman defensive lineman William Robinson was named to the 2023 Freshman All-America team selected by FCS Football Central this week. 

In 2023, Robinson played in all 11 games for the Crusaders during his rookie season. He totaled 28 tackles on the year, including 13 solo tackles, and added in a pass breakup. 

His 4.5 quarterback sacks (for a loss of 17 yards) ranked second among Holy Cross players and tied for third among all freshmen at the FCS level. 

Robinson was a key part of a defensive unit that had the top scoring defense in Patriot League action (25.5 points per game) this season.
