Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Crusaders split the weekend with #13 Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team hosted No.13 Northeastern for the second game of the conference series. The Crusaders battled but ultimately fell 4-2 in regulation.

Northeastern got on the board first but the Crusaders answered back two minutes later with a power-play goal by sophomore forward Alexis Perry at the 18:30 mark to end the period. She was assisted by sophomore defenseman Casey Borgiel and sophomore forward Alexia Moreau.

The Huskies reclaimed the lead just five minutes into the second period for the 2-1 result. The Crusaders battled back again with a goal by sophomore forward Lane Lewis. She was assisted by senior defenseman Grace Johnson and senior forward Millie Sirum.

The Huskies stole the lead back late in the third period for the one goal advantage. The Crusaders were on the defensive playing with a man down and pulled their goalie in a last ditch effort to equalize the score.
