WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross women's soccer team fell to Navy, 3-0, in Patriot League action on Friday, Oct. 20 at Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium.
All three goals for the Midshipmen (8-7-3, 2-6-0 PL) came in the second half. Navy outshot the Crusaders (5-7-5, 2-3-3 PL) by a 16-13 margin; Holy Cross goalkeeper Julia Walsh had seven saves on the night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first half, neither team scored
- In the second half, Navy scored at the 56:14 mark for the first goal of the game. They netted another goal at 63:37 and one last one at 67:05 for the 3-0 win
- Navy led Holy Cross 16-10 in shots
- The Crusaders led the Midshipmen in corners 4-2
