WORCESTER, Mass – The Holy Cross field hockey team recorded its second-straight shutout, 5-0, against Queens University of Charlotte Tuesday afternoon at the Hart Turf Field.
The Crusaders (5-7) got on the board at the 2:39 mark in the first quarter on a goal by senior

Julia Carrozza sent a shot from the top of the circle on a Crusaders' penalty corner opportunity that Potter tipped over the Royals' (0-12) goalkeeper's head.
Just 3:19 into the second quarter, senior
Allie McDonough extended the lead to 2-0, picking up a rebound off a shot by freshman
Maguire Sturgis, and jamming the ball past the goalkeeper. Potter scored her second goal of the contest 6:31 into the second quarter when she picked up a pass from freshman
Saskia Williams, one-timing a sweep towards the net that was saved, before she took the rebound into the net.
Freshman
Marissa MacLean picked up her first collegiate goal, assisted by Potter, 2:01 into the second half. Potter took a close shot against the Queen's goalkeeper, pulling her to the right side of the net, when MacLean picked up the rebound and sent the ball into the open left side of the goal.
