The Holy Cross men's basketball team will play its second straight road game when it heads to Boston University for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Feb. 1. This game is part of the Turnpike Trophy competition, an athletic series between the in-state Patriot League rivals that includes all head-to-head matchups throughout the school year. The contest between the Crusaders and the Terriers will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.

Holy Cross currently has a mark of 4-6 in the Patriot League and an overall record of 7-16. In conference action, the Crusaders have defeated Bucknell (twice), Loyola (Md.) and Navy, while falling to Lehigh (twice), American, Army, Colgate and Lafayette. Holy Cross currently leads the Patriot League in three-point field goal percentage defense (32.4 percent), while standing fourth in blocked shots (2.9 blocks per game) and steals (6.8 steals per game).

Senior forward Gerrale Gates has led the team by averaging 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocked shots per game, in addition to connecting on 50.8 percent of his field goal attempts. Freshman guard Will Batchelder has added 11.4 points and 2.0 assists per contest, while junior guard Bo Montgomery is putting up 10.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Boston University currently stands 10-13 overall and 3-7 in the Patriot League. The Terriers have lost six of their last seven games and are coming off a 66-55 setback at Lehigh on Sunday. Senior guard Walter Whyte has led the team by averaging 14.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, while hitting 80.0 percent of his foul shots. Senior guard Jonas Harper has averaged 9.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest, and senior guard Ethan Brittain-Watts has chipped in with 9.0 points and 2.1 assists per game..

Following the contest with Boston University, Holy Cross will return home to face Navy on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 2:00 p.m.
