Kyrell Luc totaled 21 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, but the Holy Cross men's basketball team was defeated by Colgate 87-60 at Cotterell Court. The Crusaders fall to 6-16 overall and 4-6 in the Patriot League, while the Raiders improve to 12-11 on the season and 8-2 in the conference.
Holy Cross made just 40.4 percent of its field goal attempts and 24.1 percent of its three-pointers on the night. Colgate was able to connect on 57.6 percent of its shots from the floor and 56.5 percent of its attempts from beyond the arc, while holding a 40-24 rebounding advantage.
The game was close early on, and the Crusaders held a 16-14 lead with 10:37 left in the first half. The Raiders then went on an 11-2 run to pull in front (27-18), before Holy Cross scored five straight points to cut the deficit to four (27-23). But Colgate used another 11-2 spurt to extend its lead to double figures, and went on to take a 47-30 advantage into the locker room.
Early in the second half, the Raiders used runs of 5-0 and 7-0 to extend their lead to 27 points (62-35). Colgate would lead by at least 20 points for the remainder of the game, eventually posting a 27-point victory.

DáJion Humphrey finished the night with nine points, three rebounds and two steals, while sophomore guard
Bo Montgomery added eight points. The Raiders were led by Keegan Records with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Holy Cross will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 9, when it plays host to Loyola (Md.) at 7:00 p.m.
