WALTHAM, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team defeated Bentley, winning 3-2 in overtime on Friday, Feb. 25 at the Bentley Arena.
Senior defenseman
Matt Slick scored the game-winning goal to lead the Crusaders (11-21-2, 9-14-2 AHA) to victory. Holy Cross junior goaltender
Matt Radomsky made 23 saves on the day.
Tucker Hodgson and Cole Kodsi both scored goals for the Falcons (12-16-2, 11-10-2 AHA). Goaltender Evan DeBrouwer made 34 saves in the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hodgson scored the first Bentley goal at 15:29 of the first period to bring the score to 1-0.
- At 5:44 of the second period, sophomore center Matt Guerra scored the first goal for the Crusaders with an assist from sophomore left wing Jack Ricketts.
- Early in the third, sophomore center Bobby Young brought the score to 2-1 for Holy Cross with assists from Ricketts and junior right wing Jack MacNab.
- Kodsi tied the score for the Falcons on a power play at 6:46 of the third period.
- With 3:05 remaining in overtime, senior right wing Anthony Vincent broke away and passed the puck to Slick who scored the golden goal for Holy Cross.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Crusaders outshot the Falcons 37-25 during the matchup.
- With the game-winning goal, this marks Slick's tenth point of the season.
- Holy Cross also held the edge in faceoff wins, 42-35.

- Holy Cross will return home to host Bentley tomorrow Saturday, Feb. 26.
