HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Crusaders went down 6-1 to start the contest before Power-Cassidy drained a three-point shot to cut the lead down to 6-4. Out of the first media break, Lindsay Berger was fouled and awarded free throws to tie the game, which was the catalyst for the squad's 11-1 run to finish the quarter.
- In the second, Northeastern did not get within seven points in the frame, as the two teams put up an even 12 points a side.
- Coming out of the halftime break, the Huskies went on a commanding 14-4 run, taking the lead at 38-34. A jump shot by sophomore Callie Wright got the team back on their feet, beginning a 10-2 run for the Crusaders, bringing the score to 44-40 in their favor.
- Three-pointers by Donnelly and Power-Cassidy, coupled with a layup by Allen extended the Holy Cross lead back up to ten. Good defensive play by both sides kept the score locked at 52-42 for over three minutes until the Huskies went on another unanswered run, cutting the lead to 52-50, before Power-Cassidy put up an un-contested three to extend the lead back to five.
- In the last minute of action, the Crusaders went 5-for-6 at the line to secure the win.
OUTSIDE THE BOX:
- The Crusaders had nine three-point shots made, the most this season.
- Holy Cross went 6-for-18 from three in the first three quarters before going 3-for-4 in the fourth.
