Senior center
Nick Olsofka and senior defensive back
Devin Haskins of the Holy Cross football team earned 2022 FCS All-America honors from the
American Football Coaches Association, as announced on Thursday, Dec. 22. Olsofka was a first team honoree, while Haskins was named to the second team.
Olsofka centered and captained one of the best offensive lines in the nation; throughout 2022, Holy Cross averaged 37.38 points per contest and 449.4 yards of total offense a game. In Patriot League play, the Crusaders averaged 43.0 points per game. He started 11 games for Holy Cross, which earned the most wins in program history (12) and made a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since 1983. Olsofka is a three-time All-Patriot League selection and two-year captain. This year, he earned All-New England honors for the first time and now earns his first-ever All-America nod.
Haskins started all 13 games this season for the Crusaders, totaling 47 tackles, four interceptions, 12 pass breakups and a fumble recovery. He blocked a punt in four consecutive games, leading the nation and setting a Patriot League record in that category, and returning two punts for touchdowns. He has earned All-Patriot League honors two seasons in a row, and was recognized in 2022 as both a defensive back and special teams non-specialist on the All-Patriot League first team this year. He was also an All-New England honoree for the first time in 2022.
