Louth-M Coulibaly scored a career-high 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds, but the Holy Cross men's basketball team was defeated by Harvard 72-38 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to 2-6 overall, while the Crimson improve to 6-2 on the year.
Holy Cross made just 32.7 percent of its field goal attempts and 22.2 percent of its three-pointers on the night, in addition to committing 18 turnovers. Harvard knocked down 39.4 percent of its shots from the floor and 26.9 percent of its attempts from three-point range, while holding a 53-28 rebounding advantage.
The Crusaders opened the game with an early 5-0 lead, before the Crimson responded with a 14-2 run to pull in front. Harvard was later up 17-13 with 5:53 remaining before the break, when it scored 11 straight points to take a 28-13 lead. The Crimson eventually led by 16 points (33-17) heading into the locker room at halftime.Â
Harvard then scored the first eight points of the second half to take a commanding 24-point lead (41-17). The Crimson would lead by at least 18 the rest of the way, going on to post a 34-point victory.
Junior guard
Bo Montgomery finished the night with 10 points, five rebounds and two assists. Harvard was led by Chris Ledlum with 18 points and six rebounds.Â

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Dec. 3, when they play host to Central Connecticut at 6:00 p.m.
