The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team travels up I-495 for a nonconference bout with Hockey East and no. 13 nationally-ranked Merrimack Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. The contest will stream live through ESPN+.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (2-10-1, 2-7-1 AHA):

• Holy Cross went 0-3-0 last week losing to defending Atlantic Hockey Association Champions American International on Tuesday before falling to Mercyhurst 3-1 and 4-1 in the Hart Center Arena Friday and Saturday. The Crusaders were outscored 11-3 over those three contests last week.
• On Saturday against Mercyhurst, freshman forward Jack Seymour scored his first collegiate goal in the setback.
• The Crusaders are 0-for-16 since their last power play goal on Friday, Nov. 4 at Canisius.

SCOUTING MERRIMACK (9-3-0, 6-1-0 HE):

• Merrimack has won six straight games including a 3-0 shutout of Sacred Heart on Thursday evening. Matt Copponi and Ben Brar scored in the second period each to secure the win. Merrimack has outscored their counterparts 19-7 in that stretch with wins over Massachusetts and two over Boston College.
• The Warriors are ranked 13th in the most recent USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and the USCHO.COM poll.
• Merrimack ranks third in the nation in goals against average allowing 1.75 goals per game. They also come in at fourth in scoring margin winning by 1.50 goals per game.
• Goaltenders Hugo Ollas and Zachary Borgiel are fifth (1.64) and sixth (1.75) in Division I in goals against average.

 
LAST TIME THEY MET:

• Holy Cross is 9-29-2 all-time in the series against the Warriors.
• In their last meeting, the Crusaders were defeated 3-2 on Nov. 23, 2021 in the Hart Center Arena. Jack Ricketts and Alex Peterson scored goals for the Crusaders.
