Holy Cross Athletics announces updated spectator policy

Note: This policy was updated on Jan. 14, 2022, to include team complimentary pass lists and season ticket holders.

WORCESTER, Mass. — In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the effects of the Omicron variant, and in the interest of health and safety of the campus community, Holy Cross Athletics will temporarily suspend spectator attendance at all athletic events until further notice, beginning on Friday, January 7 with the men's basketball game vs. Lafayette.

The following changes will be effective immediately until further notice:

  • Events will continue to be held as scheduled and in compliance with all conference and institutional COVID-19 policies.
  • Events will not be open to the general public.
Tickets purchased for events that do not allow for spectator attendance during this period will be refunded through the original method of payment. Any questions regarding ticketing can be directed to the Holy Cross Ticket Office at tickets@holycross.edu or 1-844-GOCROSS.

All men's and women's basketball contests will be broadcasted on ESPN+. Men's ice hockey games will be streamed on FloHockey, and women's ice hockey games are available on College Sports Live.

Statement from Nick Smith and Rose Shea, co-interim Directors of Athletics:
Our top priority is the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, fans and greater Holy Cross and Worcester communities, and we are thoroughly committed to maintaining as many competitive opportunities as possible for our teams. We are working closely with College and medical officials and will continue to evaluate our options as the winter season progresses.
