Holy Cross Teams Up with Opendorse to Expand NIL Education and Opportunity for Crusader Student-Athletes

Holy Cross Athletics has teamed up with Opendorse, the leading Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) technology, data, and service provider, to give Crusader student-athletes the education, tools, and support to build their personal brands and pursue NIL opportunities.

Through the agreement, Holy Cross student-athletes will have a branded NIL Marketplace where fans, alumni, and local businesses can connect with them directly, with no marketplace fees on deals completed there. Athletes will also be able to find and manage opportunities from brands of all sizes, with tax documentation handled in one place.

Education sits at the center of the agreement. Crusaders will have access to on-demand lessons, expert-led webinars, and on-platform education covering contracts, marketing, taxes, and personal finance. Holy Cross Athletics staff will receive automatic disclosure and compliance reporting, along with a dedicated Opendorse success manager to guide the program.

This collaboration adds to the NIL support already in place for Holy Cross student-athletes, including the Mount St. James Collective, which launched in February 2025 and is officially recognized by Holy Cross Athletics.

"This collaboration reflects Holy Cross' commitment to preparing our student-athletes for comprehensive success during their collegiate careers and beyond," said Holy Cross Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Kit Hughes. "We are excited to continue the evolution and enhancement of our NIL program by partnering with industry leader, Opendorse. Their platform has proven to be a tremendous resource for student-athletes, allowing them to confidently navigate the ever-changing NIL landscape. I know our Crusaders will benefit greatly from the education and tools this relationship will provide."

"Holy Cross is putting education at the center of its NIL program, which fits how the college approaches the student-athlete experience as a whole," said Blake Lawrence, Co-Founder & President, Collegiate Operations at Opendorse. "Crusader student-athletes will have the knowledge to make smart decisions and a direct connection to the alumni, fans, and businesses who want to support them."

Fans, alumni, and businesses can connect with Crusader student-athletes through the Holy Cross NIL Marketplace at opendorse.com/holycross-crusaders.
