HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Power-Cassidy started off hot for the Crusaders scoring nine of the teams' 11 points going 4-for-6 (66.7%) from the floor, hitting shots in the paint and from distance as Colgate led 12-11 at the media timeout. Two LaBarbera free throws late in the quarter evened the contest after one.
- Colgate went on an 8-3 spurt to take a two-possession lead 22-17 via two free throws by Taylor Golembiewski. Holy Cross responded with a quarter shaping 17-6 run getting six straight points and three triples in a row late by Power-Cassidy, sophomore Cara McCormack and Munt. They closed the half on an 11-2 run with Munt producing the final five points to lead 34-28 at the break.
- Colgate brought their deficit to one possession, 38-36 when Alexa Brodie drained a mid-range jumper. Holy Cross put together the next eight points which gave the home team their first double-digit lead 46-36 due to an Allen second-chance layup. Holy Cross was in the lead 48-40 after 30 minutes of play.
- The Raiders began the fourth producing eight points in a row to level the score at 48-48 with 6:36 left. Out of the timeout, junior Addisyn Cross halted the Colgate spurt with a three-pointer from the top of the point before the shot clock horn sounded. The Crusaders and Raiders kept trading buckets with Golembiewski putting her team down one 55-54. Munt then cleaned up a missed jumper and powered the rock in for two. On the ensuing possession, LaBarbera got her hand in the passing lane, picked off a pass and went uncontested to reestablish the two possession lead late in the game.
