Dylan Scanley both scored goals as the Holy Cross men's soccer team defeated Sacred Heart 2-0 at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium. The Crusaders improve to 2-0-1 on the season with the win, while the Pioneers fall to 0-3-0 overall.

Jimmy Joyce posted his first career shutout while making two saves. Justin Siegel had two saves and two goals allowed for Sacred Heart.
The Crusaders finished the night with a 9-5 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
Holy Cross returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 7, when it plays host to UMass Lowell at 6:00 p.m.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• The shutout was the first by the Crusaders since they defeated Brown 1-0 on Oct. 22, 2019.
• Holy Cross' six goals scored in its first three games of the year have come from six different players.
• The Crusaders' 2-0-1 start to the year is their best through three games since they began the 2006 campaign at 3-0-0.
