WASHINGTON, D.C. – Junior defender
Brooke Robinson scored the first goal of her collegiate career as the Holy Cross women's soccer team played American to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Reeves Field. After a scoreless first half, American claimed a 1-0 lead in the 59th minute when Natalie Oliver sent a cross into the penalty box and Tate Jordan knocked the ball into the net off her body from six yards out. Holy Cross responded in the 85th minute when Robinson's free kick from outside the penalty box on the right side found its way through traffic and into the goal to tie the game at 1-1. Neither team was able to score again in regulation or in overtime as the game ended in a tie.
