WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team competed at home on Lake Quinsigamond for the first time this season, facing the Boston University lightweight crew. The Crusaders had boats place second and third in the varsity eight, while coming in third in the varsity four.
"I'd like to thank head coach Malcolm Doldron and the Boston University lightweight team for making the trip to Lake Quinsigamond this morning," said head coach
Andrea Landry.
"Our crews had a chance to refine parts of their racing strategy off the line which I feel confident will transfer well at the Patriot League Championship in two weeks. I am happy with the progress we've made and look forward to building on this momentum this week."
In the varsity eight, Boston University claimed first (7:44.8), followed by the Holy Cross A boat (8:03.8) and the Holy Cross B boat (8:11.0). In the varsity four, the Terriers' A boat came in first (8:13.1), with the Terriers' B boat coming in second (8:44.6) and the Crusaders coming in third (9:39.3).
Following the races, Holy Cross honored the senior members of the crew in a special ceremony. The Crusader seniors are

Holy Cross will return to action on Saturday, May 8, when it faces WPI on Lake Quinsigamond.
