The Holy Cross football team has announced its 11-game schedule for the fall 2021 season. The slate is set to get underway on Sept. 4 and includes five home games and five non-conference games, as Holy Cross looks to become the first school to win three-consecutive Patriot League titles in 15 years.

The Crusaders will open the season at the University of Connecticut on Sept. 4, marking the second meeting between the schools since 2017. Holy Cross' home opener will take place the following weekend, on Sept. 11, against Merrimack.

Holy Cross will hit the road for the next two games, with a matchup on Sept. 18 at Yale followed by a Sept. 25 contest against Monmouth. 

The Crusaders then return home for the next three contests. They will host Harvard on Oct. 2 for Homecoming, and, after a bye week, Holy Cross will begin Patriot League play against Georgetown on Oct. 16. 

The Crusaders will then play host to Colgate on Oct. 23 as part of Family Weekend. The contest will be played at Polar Park in Worcester's Canal District and will be the first football game at the new ballpark that opened on May 11. 

On Oct. 30, Holy Cross heads to Lehigh, and on Nov. 6, the Crusaders return home for a game against Lafayette. The final two weekends will be played on the road, with a Nov. 13 game at Fordham and a Nov. 20 contest against Bucknell. 

In total, the Crusaders have won eight league championships and will return 12 all-conference selections to the gridiron this fall. In his three years coaching the Crusaders, head coach Bob Chesney has won two league titles, seen 35 all-conference selections, and was named the 2019 Patriot League Coach of the Year.

Season tickets for the 2021 Holy Cross football season will go on sale on Thursday, May 20. Season ticket holders will also receive exclusive presale access to the game at Polar Park beginning on June 14.
