Moore, Lineberger lead women’s track and field at ECACs, New Englands

The Holy Cross women's track and field team wrapped up day one of competition at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championship and New England Outdoor Championship, on Friday, May 14.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The dynamic pole vaulting duo of senior Christa Jay Moore and sophomore Annie Lineberger competed at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championship and New England Outdoor Championship. Moore posted a first-place finish at New Englands, with a mark of 3.70 meters, additionally, she placed fourth at ECACs with a mark of 3.86 meters. Lineberger came in second at New Englands with a mark of 3.70 meters and placed ninth at ECACs, tying her personal best mark of 3.76 meters.
  • Senior Claire Hanlon posted a new personal best in the 5000 meters at the New England Outdoor Championship. Hanlon finished in a time of 17:23.04 and placed fifth overall.
  • Junior Jordyn Shubrick earned a fifth-place finish in the hammer throw at the New England Outdoor Championship, with a mark of 50.50 meters. 

UP NEXT:

  • The Crusaders will wrap up competition at the New England Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 15, with the meet slated to begin at 10:00 a.m.
  • Holy Cross will travel to compete at day three of the ECAC/IC4A meet on Sunday, May 16.
