EASTON, Pa. – The Holy Cross baseball team fell to Lafayette, 6-2, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Crusaders got out to an early lead as DiLauro didn't allow a hit through the first two innings and singles by Dudunakis and Selima gave Holy Cross a 2-0 advantage in the top of the third.
• Lafayette began to answer back in the bottom half of the inning when Fadio connected on a solo shot to make it 2-1.
• After that, the Leopards didn't look back as they added two more runs in the fourth to take the lead and three in the sixth to widen the gap to 6-2.
• Holy Cross would put runners on base in both the eighth inning after an Andrew D'Acunto walk, and in the ninth after a McElroy double and a Meyer single, but it wasn't enough to cut into the Lafayette lead as the game would end with the Leopards up four.

DUE UP:

• The Crusaders will face the Leopards again tomorrow, Sunday, April 18 with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
