WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior 
Jolie Creo recorded a school single-game record 11 points on eight goals and three assists to lead the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team to a 19-12 victory over Merrimack at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders improve to 2-1 on the season with the win, while the Warriors fall to 1-3 overall.
Holy Cross opened the game by jumping out to a 5-0 after the first 9:07 of play, with Creo and senior 
Emily Culbertson both scoring two goals during that spurt. Merrimack was able to trim the margin to 8-5 late in the half, before goals by freshman 
Lauren Drillock and senior 
Izzy Grant gave the Crusaders a 10-5 lead at the break.
The Warriors started the second half strong, scoring five of the first seven goals to make the score 12-10 with 15 minutes remaining. But Holy Cross responded with a 7-1 run, including four more goals from Creo, to put the game away.
Grant finished the game with five goals, while Culbertson and Drillock added two goals each. In addition, junior 
Jordyn Arakelian and senior 
Catherine Guanci both finished with a goal and two assists. In goal, junior 
Grace Flink made a season-high 11 saves. Merrimack was led by Meghan Dzialo with five goals and one assist.
Holy Cross will return to action on Sunday, March 21, when it travels to Massachusetts for a 12:00 p.m. game.
