Holy Cross Athletics, in accordance with College health and safety protocols and updated Massachusetts guidelines, will allow limited and select spectators to attend outdoor athletic events starting March 22.
All communities in Massachusetts move into Phase 4, Step 1 of the state's reopening plan as of March 22, allowing for up to 12 percent capacity for a number of industries and facilities, including outdoor stadiums and ballparks.
Fan attendance will be limited to two guests per competing student-athlete and coach, as well as a designated number of Holy Cross students. Students must show verification of COVID-19 policy compliance through the HC Clear system and will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the maximum facility allowance has been reached. (See table below.) All fans will be expected to adhere to strict social distancing and universal mask policies, and will not be permitted to enter on-campus competition venues until 60 minutes prior to the event's scheduled start. Tailgating is expressly prohibited.
Information on how guests can be registered will be communicated directly to student-athletes and, when appropriate, visiting team officials. Patriot League policy continues to prohibit fan attendance at indoor athletic events.
No additional visitors will be permitted to attend athletic events at this time to minimize the risk of exposure and transmission within the Holy Cross community. This includes the restriction of alumni, season ticket holder, faculty, and staff attendance at spring athletic contests. Attendance policies will continue to be monitored in accordance with local, state and institutional recommendations and restrictions.
Fans looking to attend Crusader road contests should consult the home team's website for current attendance policies. An
updated schedule of broadcasted events can be found on the ESPN+ platform.
