WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross head football coach Bob Chesney has announced the Crusaders' schedule for the 2021 spring season, which is slated to begin on March 13. The Crusaders are set to play four Patriot League games this spring after having their fall 2020 season postponed due to COVID-19.

The Patriot League's half dozen football teams will be split into two three-team divisions for the 2021 spring season. Colgate, Fordham and Holy Cross will play in the North Division. Bucknell, Lafayette and Lehigh will play in the South Division. The Georgetown football program will forgo participation in the spring 2021 season.

Teams will play each divisional opponent once with two non-divisional games. The League schedule is set to begin on Saturday, March 13, and conclude on Saturday, April 17, with a championship game between the two division winners. There is a make-up weekend scheduled for the weekend of April 10.

Under these guidelines, Holy Cross begins the spring season on March 13 at Lehigh. The Crusaders' home opener is set for March 20 against Fordham. On March 27, Holy Cross will travel to face Colgate; the regular season is set to conclude on April 3 at home against Bucknell.

To start the 2021 spring campaign, all games at Fitton Field will be played without fans in attendance. The situation will continue to be evaluated based on state, league and institutional policies as the season progresses. Fans will be able to stream games live on ESPN+.
