Two members of the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team have been earned weekly honors from Hockey East, the conference announced on Monday, Dec. 13.
Senior forward
Carlie Magier was named the Hockey East Player of the Week, while junior defenseman
Kailey Langefels was named the Defender of the Week. Both played a key role in the Crusaders' 4-2 victory over Brown on Friday, Dec. 10.
Magier scored a pair of goals, including the game-winning goal, with both goals coming in the third period. The effort marked her first multi-goal game of the season; she is tied for second on the team with six points this year off three goals and three assists.
Langefels assisted on two goals against Brown, including the game-winner. She additionally blocked five shots on the night. Langefels leads the Crusaders with 34 blocked shots this year.
Holy Cross returns to action on Jan. 2 when it hosts Providence at the Hart Center Rink.
