ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team was defeated by Navy 3-0 at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. The Crusaders fall to 6-3-2 overall and 3-1-0 in the Patriot League, while the Midshipmen improve to 8-1-1 on the year and 3-1-0 in the conference.
Navy opened the scoring in the second minute when Jacob Williams knocked in a rebound after a shot by Jason Aoyama was saved. The Midshipmen increased their lead to 2-0 less than three minutes later as Baba Kallie headed in a free kick by David Jackson. Navy would then conclude the scoring in the 64th minute when Joe Alex took a pass from J.D. Wagner and lined a shot into the back of the net.
The Midshipmen finished the game with a 16-4 advantage in shots and a 9-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, Oct. 10, when they play host to Lehigh at 4:00 p.m.
