Kelly Crowley receives Daniel Allen Sportsmanship Award

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Kelly Crowley, a member of the Holy Cross women's soccer and softball teams, has been selected as the 2019-20 winner of the Daniel Allen Sportsmanship Award. Presented by the Holy Cross Varsity Club, the Allen Award goes to the player whose unselfish teamwork and dedication to the good of the team reflect the values lived by Coach Allen. The winning student-athlete need not be a star or even a starter, but a solid performer with an outstanding attitude whose contributions are not frequently recognized. The award is designed to recognize a student-athlete who is dedicated to the good of the team, possesses integrity, and is a great teammate.

Crowley served as a captain of the soccer team during her senior year, and led the team in scoring with nine points on three goals and three assists. She played in 64 career games with 25 starts, totaling six goals and five assists for 17 points. Crowley also joined the softball team for her senior year, and played in one game of a shortened season.

Named first team All-Patriot League, second team All-New England and Academic All-Patriot League in soccer as a senior, Crowley was also a four-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. She was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and co-chair of the Crusader Athletics Fund Senior Class Gift committee.

Crowley will be presented with the Allen Award at the 65th annual Holy Cross Varsity Club Hall of Fame Dinner & Ceremonial Banquet, which will take place later this year.
