WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's basketball team will play its final road game of the regular season, when it travels to Army West Point for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The game between the Crusaders and the Black Knights will be shown live on the Patriot League Network, and can be heard on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.
The Crusaders stand 3-26 overall this season with a 2-14 mark against Patriot League opponents. Holy Cross will be the No. 10 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, which begins on March 3. The Crusaders have lost nine games in a row since posting a 96-95 overtime victory over Lehigh on Jan. 22.
Freshman forward
Joe Pridgen has led the team by averaging 17.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while hitting 56.4 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard
Austin Butler has added 12.0 points, 6.3 boards and 2.5 assists per contest, while junior forward
Connor Niego is chipping in with 8.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Army stands 14-13 overall this year with a 9-7 mark in Patriot League play. The Black Knights have won three of their last four games, including an 86-75 overtime victory over Navy on Saturday.
Senior guard Tommy Funk has led the team by averaging 17.4 points, 6.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. Senior center Matt Wilson has added 16.3 points and 8.0 boards per contest, and junior guard Lonnie Grayson is putting up 10.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Following the contest at Army, Holy Cross will close out the regular season with a 2:00 p.m. game against American on Saturday, Feb. 29.
