Men's basketball to face Bucknell on CBS Sports Network

WORCESTER, Mass. –  The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back in action on Monday, Feb. 17, when it plays host to Bucknell at 7:00 p.m. The contest between the Crusaders and the Bison will be televised live by the CBS Sports Network, and can be heard on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester. This will be the final game of Worcester County Weekend, with tickets available to Worcester County residents for just $5.00 each.

The Crusaders stand 3-24 overall this season with a 2-12 mark against Patriot League opponents. Holy Cross has lost its last seven games since posting a 96-95 overtime victory over Lehigh on Jan. 22.

Freshman forward Joe Pridgen has led the team by averaging 17.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while hitting 56.7 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Austin Butler has added 12.0 points, 6.4 boards and 2.5 assists per contest, while junior forward Connor Niego is chipping in with 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Bucknell owns an overall record of 10-17 this year with a 6-8 mark in Patriot League play. The Bison are coming off a 72-68 victory over American on Saturday, which snapped a five-game losing streak.

Junior forward John Meeks has led the team by averaging 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, while hitting 80.7 percent of his foul shots. Junior guard Jimmy Sotos (11.1 points per game), senior guard Avi Toomer (11.1 points per game) and sophomore guard Andrew Funk (10.6 points per game) are also scoring in double figures for the Bison.

Following the contest with Bucknell, Holy Cross will travel to Colgate for a 2:00 p.m. game on Sunday, Feb. 23.
