WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team fell to Robert Morris, 4-2, at the Hart Center.
Charlie Barrow and
Alex Peterson scored for the Crusaders and four players recorded assists on the night.
The Crusaders and Colonials played to an even first period. Holy Cross struck first as
Alex Peterson put in his seventh of the season to take a 1-0 lead. Four minutes later, Robert Morris tied things up at 1-1. Each team put 12 shots on frame in the first period.
In the second period, the Colonials peppered
Matt Radomsky with shots and were able to get two more by the freshman to take a 3-1 lead at the midpoint. Holy Cross took back offensive control with 14 shots in the frame and scored with 0.3 seconds when
Charlie Barrow put in his first of the season, 3-2.
Holy Cross put up five shots in the third period but their comeback was halted when the Colonials scored a shorthanded goal with eight minutes to play to go ahead, 4-2. Holy Cross skated six-on-four at the end of the game, but could not convert.
