JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Sophomore Christa Jay Moore of the Holy Cross women's track and field team finished in 31st place in the pole vault at the East Preliminary Round of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 24.
Moore's leap of 3.92 meters was her second-best vault of the 2019 season.
Moore became the fourth student-athlete in Holy Cross women's track and field history to compete at the NCAA Championships and the first Crusader to compete in the pole vault. Her placement is the highest finish by a Crusader at the East Preliminary Round since Tiffany Reid was 24th in the 200 meter dash in 2009.
