BOSTON – The Holy Cross women's hockey team lost to No. 4 Northeastern, 11-0, Friday evening at Matthews Arena.
The Crusaders were outshot, 44-24, on the night, but Holy Cross managed eight more shots than the last time they played these Huskies.
Rachel Moore led the way with six shots on goal for the Crusaders, while
Emma Lange and
Carlie Magier each had three.
Jada Brenon and
Julia Pelletier combined for 33 saves.
The Huskies came out quickly and put four on the board in the opening frame. The Crusaders would respond by controlling a good amount of the second period, but Northeastern would find its groove again later on and added three more. Northeastern would wrap things up by scoring four in the final period to claim the win.
The Crusaders managed to kill the only penalty they faced on the night.
