WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross women's hockey associate head coach Katie Lachapelle has been named a camp coach for the 2018 USA Hockey Women's Winter Training Camp for the first time in her career. The camp will take place from Dec. 17 through 21 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
The annual training session holds the purpose of helping the nation's top players prepare for upcoming international events, including the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship.
Lachapelle has held numerous other positions within USA Hockey. Most recently, she served as a camp coach at the Women's National Team Evaluation Camp in September. Before that, Lachapelle was an assistant coach with the U.S. Under-22 Women's National Team during the 2018 USA Hockey Women's National Festival this August.
She served as an assistant coach with the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Teams, where she helped guide the team to three consecutive gold medals at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Under-18 Women's World Championship (2017, 2016, 2015). She has also coached at USA Hockey camps for several summers, helping at various Girls' Select 14, 15, and 16 Player Development Camps.
