SHELTON, Conn. - The women's hockey team tied Sacred Heart, 1-1, on Saturday, Jan. 27. Sophomore Victoria Young scored for the Crusaders.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
1-0 SH (2nd, 16:46, PP): The Pioneers scored in second period from Meghan Kebalka on a power play.
1-1 HC (3rd, 8:24, EV): Young netted her fourth goal of the season from freshmen Grace Peluso and Katie MacCuaig to tie the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- This is only the second time the Crusaders and Pioneers have ended a game in a tie.
- Holy Cross outshot Sacred Heart 33-17. Junior Sam Girard led the Crusaders with six shots.
- Young recorded her fourth goal of the season.
- Peluso tallied her fourth helper of the season and MacCuaig recorder her third.
