WORCESTER, Mass. - Two points from Kara Violette led the Crusaders to a narrow victory over the Sacred Heart Pioneers. Holy Cross took a first period lead with a power play goal, but Sacred Heart evened the game early in the third frame. With continued offensive pressure, Holy Cross scored less than four minutes after Sacred Heart to seal the game at 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
HC, 1-0 (1st, 14:23, PP): With the man-advantage on the power, Holy Cross worked the puck along the tops of the circles to open up a shooting lane for Antonia Matzka to score her second goal of the season. Kara Violette and Sam Girard picked up assists on the play.
SHU, 1-1 (3rd, 3:49, EV): Sacred Heart's Oliva Brant snuck the puck past Holy Cross' Julia Pelletier.
HC, 2-1 (3rd, 7:39, EV): Jackie Gellner broke the puck out of the defensive zone to Katie McCuaig in the neutral zone. McCuaig chipped the puck to Violette to tally the game-winner.
TALKING POINTS:
