The Lead: Senior Elizabeth Lombardo finished 18th overall to lead the Holy Cross women's cross country team with a time of 18:51 and a fourth-place finish out of 37 teams at the Shriner Invitational hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday morning.

 HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Freshman Allie Christian was four spots behind Lombardo, finishing 22nd for the Crusaders with a time of 19:03.
• Other top finishers for Holy Cross included senior Kirsty Gargiulo (30th; 19:12), freshman Deana Pileika (44th; 19:23) and senior captain Caroline Morano (45th; 19:24).
• Brandeis won the race with a total of 99 points, as Pascalin Jerotich of American International captured the first-place spot with a time of 17:41.
