WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior wide receiver and sprinter Kalif Raymond, a member of the football and men's track and field teams, has been selected as the 2015-2016 Crusader of the Year. The award was presented at the 61st annual Holy Cross Varsity Club dinner, held at the Hogan Campus Center on Saturday, May 7.
Raymond was a two-time first team All-Patriot League and All-New England selection on the gridiron, in addition to being named All-New England on the track twice. He ranked second on the football team with 74 receptions for 978 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior, while leading the team with 1,543 all-purpose yards. Over the course of his football career, Raymond caught 155 passes for 1,683 yards and 14 scores, in addition to recording 4,059 all-purpose yards with 18 total touchdowns. He is also the school record holder in the indoor 60-meter dash (6.92 seconds), and placed second at the 2015 New England Championship in the outdoor 100-meter dash.
In addition, Raymond is a founding member and treasurer of Pinoys of Worcester and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, while being a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Massachusetts throughout his four years.
