HOW IT HAPPENED:

• All listed finishes were among Division I student-athletes.
• Freshman Alexandra Curtin (Winchester, Mass.) placed third in the 100 m dash, earning a time of 12.61.
• In the 400 m dash, senior Catherine Gildea (Milford, Conn.) finished second with a time of 57.78.
• In the 800 m run, sophomore Claire Turner (Norwalk, Conn.) placed fifth, recording a time of 2:17.05.
• Junior Rachel Sowinski (Mountain Top, Pa.) placed fourth in the 1500 m run, crossing the finish line at 4:44.15.
• Senior Alex Eckert (Bergenfield, N.J.) placed fourth in the pole vault, setting a height of 3.10 m.
• Curtin placed first in the long jump after recording a distance of 5.14 m.
• In the shot put, junior Cassie Kobelski (Andover, Mass.) placed second, earning a distance of 12.02 m.
