WORCESTER, Mass. – Kate O'Shaughnessy '02 has been named to the Patriot League 25th Anniversary Team for women's soccer. Each team that participates in women's soccer selected 25 players in the voting for the 25th Anniversary Team, and could not vote for its own student-athletes.

O'Shaughnessy is the only player in Holy Cross women's soccer history to be named All-Patriot League four times, as she earned second team accolades in 1999 and first team honors in 1998, 2000 and 2001. She guided Holy Cross to three consecutive 10+ win seasons and Patriot League Tournament appearances in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

Named third team All-New England during her senior season, O'Shaughnessy led Holy Cross to its only NCAA Tournament appearance and Patriot League Championship in 2000. She finished her career with the most assists in program history (20) and ranks third in career goals (30) and career points (80).

The Patriot League is releasing 25th Anniversary Teams throughout the month of August for each sport that has been sponsored by the league since it became an all-sport conference beginning in the 1990-1991 season. In addition to the 25th Anniversary Teams, coverage throughout the 2015-2016 season will focus on former student-athletes and top stories in the history of the Patriot League.
