WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior goalie Alexandra Stevenson (Norwood, N.Y.) has been named ECAC Women's East Goaltender of the Week as the Holy Cross women's hockey team went 1-0-1 this weekend and improved to 12-5-2. This is Stevenson's fourth ECAC East honor.
Over the weekend, Stevenson held opponents to one goal, improving her overall record to 7-3-1. In Friday afternoon's 4-0 shutout victory over Castleton, she recorded 20 saves for her 10th career shutout and fourth of the season. On Saturday, Stevenson allowed one goal in the Crusaders' 1-1 tie with St. Michael's and recorded 17 saves. Through two games, she registered a total of 37 saves and an impressive 0.50 goals against average.
The Crusaders return to the ice for two ECAC East matchups this weekend as they host University of New England at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 for the SGA Game of the Week, as well as their fourth annual "Pink the Rink" game. Holy Cross will then travel to Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Feb. 7 for an 8:00 p.m. start.
