Holy Cross & Yale Announce 12-Game Football Series

WORCESTER, Mass. — Holy Cross and Yale have released the dates for a 12-game football series between the schools, as announced by Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine and Yale director of athletics Thomas Beckett. The Crusaders and the Bulldogs will meet every year from 2017-2028, alternating home and away games.

"I am pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement on a long-term home-and-home football series with Yale," said Pine. "We will look forward to facing another Ivy League opponent annually with similar athletic and academic principles. With the proximity of our two institutions, it will undoubtedly be a good series for our fans. It will also ensure that we will be facing either Yale or Harvard at Fitton Field every year beginning in 2018."

The Crusaders and the Bulldogs have played 31 times in their history, with Yale leading the all-time series 27-4. The schools last met on Oct. 4, 2008, with the Bulldogs posting a 31-28 double-overtime victory at the Yale Bowl.
