The Lead: Senior goalie Alexandra Stevenson (Norwood, N.Y.) made 19 saves as the Holy Cross women's hockey team drew a 0-0 tie with Bowdoin at the Sidney J. Watson Arena on Saturday night in non-conference women's hockey action. This was the first 0-0 tie in the history of the Holy Cross women's hockey program. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Holy Cross outshot Bowdoin, 12-2 in the first period as the Polar Bears went 0-2 on the power play. 
• The Crusaders and Polar Bears went back and forth on the power play throughout the second period, but neither team found the net as both went 0-2. 
• Stevenson had six third period saves to force overtime, as the Crusaders took 11 shots. 
• The Polar Bears outshot the Crusaders, 5-3 in overtime, as Stevenson was able to hold Bowdoin and secure the 0-0 tie. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• Holy Cross outshot Bowdoin, 34-19. 
• The Crusaders went 0 for 3 on the power play and the Polar Bears went 0 for 4. 
• Stevenson stopped 19 shots for the Crusaders, while Lan Crofton made 34 saves for the Polar Bears. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE 

• Stevenson's shutout was her second of the season and eighth of her career. 
• This was the first 0-0 tie in the history of the Holy Cross women's varsity hockey program since it began in 1999-2000.
