The Lead: Freshman Hannah Jeter (Eden Prairie, Minn.) finished seventh overall with a time of 21:46 on the six-kilometer course, as the Holy Cross women's cross country team placed third at the Paul Short Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Following Jeter, junior Caroline Carley (Barrington, Ill.) earned a 26th place finish with a time of 22:26, while sophomore Rachel Sowinski (Mountain Top, Pa.) came in 39th in a time of 22:41.
• Sophomore Mary Welsh (Manhasset, N.Y.) finished in 80th place (23:04), and sophomore Caroline Carr (Ridgefield, Conn.) was 84th (23:05.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Crusaders finished with a total of 236 points as a team, while Bucknell captured the team championship in the Collegiate Brown Race with 81 points.
• Amy Regan of the Stevens Institute of Technology won the individual title with a time of 20:42..

UP NEXT

• The Crusaders return to action next Saturday, Oct. 11, when they take part in the New England Championship at Franklin Park in Boston.
